Isaiah chapter 58: In a sun-scorched land

58:11 “The Lord will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame.  You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail."

When we find ourselves in a difficult place and in a distressed state we can be sure of God’s guiding hand to strengthen us. And the desert will be changed into a place of refreshment and shelter.

O Adonai, and leader of the House of Israel,

who appeared to Moses in the fire of the burning bush

and gave him the law on Sinai:

Come and redeem us with an outstretched arm.
