34:16 ‘ Look in the scroll of the Lord and read’
In
moments when we seek guidance, consolation or reassurance the scroll of the
Lord lies before us. In there we find light and food for the weary soul and
mind. May we never grow tired of this source day after day, morning after
morning, evening after evening.
Blessed Lord, who caused all holy
Scriptures to be written for our learning: Help us to hear them, to read, mark,
learn and inwardly digest them that, through patience, and the comfort of your
holy word, we may embrace and for ever hold fast the blessed hope of
everlasting life, which you have given us in our Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen
